Smoothie soup.

My workout went well! Today was just a cardio day – I did 30 minutes on the Stairmaster, 10 minutes on the stationary bike, and 10 minutes of ab work. I think the late brunch helped me power through it – I felt a lot more energized than usual! I will continue to post my workouts to give you a feel for what I do on a weekly basis.

After the workout, I was ready to refuel:

The idea of eating a smoothie like a soup is genius! I enjoy it so much more! Here’s how I made it:

  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 3/4 cup strawberries
  • 1/4 cup blueberries
  • 1/2 large banana

I find this combination rivals even Jamba Juice – definitely my favorite! I know I’ll be having a big dinner so I decided to have two mini-meals since I had brunch so late this morning. I chose a rice cake with 1 tbsp. each of peanut butter and strawberry jam as the second mini-meal.

I must get back to watching the Masters. I must admit, I’m always sad when I don’t see Tiger at the top!

  1. Yum! That’s such a great combo for a smoothie.

Who needs Jamba juice? Smoothies are a few minutes of work and so much cheaper and healthier at home!! =)

  2. I’ll add you to my blogroll too!! =)

The Squirelly bread is well worth ordering, I’m addicted to the stuff. I eat it on its own and it tastes better than anything I’ve ever had. It has so few ingredients and it’s mostly organic, nothing better.

  3. Haha, no need to ask permission, girl!! You may add me to your blogroll :0)

Just so you know, I regularly follow your blog now as well, and have you on my Google Reader blog subscription list – I don’t use the blog roll that’s on the right-side of my blog. So you’re on my list too! :0)
