NEW DINNER ALERT!!

Homemade. Different. Delectable. Just a few words to describe tonight’s dinner 😉

Homemade is not to be confused with made from scratch – but it was made from home and not by someone wearing an apron that reads “Panera” 😉

But first, my delicious snack – hey, I’m a broadcast journalist, I know how to tease you! I got back from psych and was craving some cereal, so I mixed 1 cup Nature’s Path rice puffs with 1 cup Trader Joe’s High Fiber and added some vanilla almond milk…plus some chocolate chips for garnish!

I heated it up in the microwave for about 30 seconds so that the chocolate chips were just slightly melted, the almond milk was warm, and some of the milk absorbed with the cereal to make it softer – Mmm!

On to dinner…

I’ll call it Chickeroni n’ Cheese – and all it calls for is 1/2 a box of Annie’s Whole Wheat Shells & White Cheddar, 1 AmyLu andouille chicken sausage and a generous sprinkle of fat-free cheddar cheese melted on top. Not the work of a culinary genius, but it tasted great – especially since I drained the pasta while it still had a bit of a “bite” to it 🙂

YUM! I realize you’ve got to like/eat chicken and cheese to fully appreciate this meal, but I know we can all agree that the teeny whole wheat shells are too cute 😉

DESSERT

You’ve seen it before, you’ll see it again.

Edy’s Slow Churned strawberry ice cream. That red strawberry “goo” gets me every time!

I love Thursday nights this quarter because they are somewhat like Fridays for me! I still have work tomorrow but no class. I’ve got plenty of schoolwork to do – since it’s still mid-quarter for me 👿 – but at least I know I’ve got some Grey’s Anatomy to look forward to.

Sweet dreams 🙂

  1. Hehe, I love Annies! I don’t eat the cheese part (my stomache would hate me for it!) But I looooove the parm. peace pasta – cute little peace signs! Way fun, much like the elmo noodle soup.
