Holy guacamole!

by Jenn (eating bender) on May 4, 2008

I’ve always loved guacamole, especially when it’s freshly made. I avoid buying it because it can be on the pricey side, but yesterday, in the spirit of the approaching Cinco de Mayo, I decided to buy some from Whole Foods. I am very glad I did

This wrap was incredible, and I know it was mainly because of my little green friend. It featured a Kidz Flatbread wrap, sliced deli turkey, reduced fat Mexican cheese and of course, holy guacamole!

Also on the menu was my beloved whole wheat mini pitas, served with some Sabra classic hummus (another new find, can you tell I enjoyed my trip to the grocery store this weekend?!):

And last but certainly not least, another new find from Whole FoodsVanilla Meringue Cookies!

Bite-sized and satisfying little treats. The serving size is 17 cookies – but even one would do it for me!

I had 1/2 a Clif Chocolate Brownie ZBar before my workout today – 45 minutes on the elliptical followed by some ab work. I’m chugging along on my homework (I sound like the Little Engine That Could!) so overall, a very productive Sunday! It also doesn’t hurt that it’s sunny and temperatures are in the 60s! Oh Chicago, how you enjoy teasing me :)

Enjoy the rest of your day!

Grr – I hate the fact we don’t have a Whole Foods! On the other hand – maybe it’s a good thing because I’m sure I’d be BROKE!!! :)

I can’t get enough of those little pitas. They’re so cute!! (I think I’ve said this many times before, but I can’t stop but admire them)

Hehe, I like the guac you mix with salsa, but homemade is the best (thank god for my magic bullet!)

That is my favorite hummus! It’s fabulous!
