I had planned to make a fabulous lunch at home today. Keyword: had.
Instead I did a last minute good deed and helped Bobby out. He bought a new bed but they were supposed to come deliver it during his class, so I graciously agreed to wait in his apartment for the delivery guy.
Now I may be making a rash generalization (and if so, please forgive me) but…
boy apartment + healthy food = a cruel joke
So I had to make due amongst all the packaged “goodies” and find something filling and edible. I settled on a mixture of Quaker Oat Squares and Frosted Mini-Wheats.
Not the most balanced meal, but it was enough to get me through class. I also grabbed a Special K Strawberry bar to eat later on.
BREAKFAST: Oatmeal Raisin Cookie
Breakfast was much more pleasing to the eye and stomach. No, it wasn’t exactly a cookie – but it sure tasted like one!
The sweetness of the whipped bananas and maple syrup combined with the chewiness of the oats and raisins makes this concoction quite similar to a cookie. I added a spoonful of Cinnamon Raisin Swirl peanut butter (which I compared to cookie dough yesterday) to create a truly decadent experience
To top of breakfast, I had a delicious mug of Coffee Cocoa with some extra cocoa powder on top for good measure!
That lunch didn’t quite hold me over (surprise, surprise) so I will likely have a snack before dinner. Grey’s Anatomy is on tonight – I can’t wait! Is it just me, or has it somewhat returned to the better days of earlier seasons? I thought it might be going downhill for a while…but I’m glad it didn’t
“See” you later!
