Mr. + Mrs. Bender: October 16, 2010 {Pictures}

Wow, everyone! I’m blown away by your kind words and thoughts on our wedding ceremony. I am so glad you liked the video and our picture slideshow! Your comments made me laugh, cry and smile as I read them over and over again.

Hopefully I can bring life to the second part of our special day in this post…because once the ceremony was over, it was time for picture taking!

Once Bobby and I had signed the marriage license, the wedding party got some fun shots around the gorgeous Our Lady of Joy church. The weather was phenomenal – 80 degrees and dry, with crystal clear blue skies and sunshine that warmed us to the core.

One of my very favorite shots. 🙂 I fell in love with these archways when I first laid eyes on this church and our photographer, Shelly Ivy, did a perfect job of capturing their beauty.

Serious pose (clearly, I have trouble looking serious):

Not so serious:

When we finished up at the church, we all got back in the limo and popped more champagne!

We headed back to my house to grab a quick snack of pinwheel sandwiches, veggies and fruit tarts before heading back up to the Cochise-Geronimo Clubhouse for some fun pictures on the golf course!

The group packed into golf carts and explored greens, pathways and clubhouses. The highlight was when we saw a bobcat walking across the course, only yards away from where we were standing!

My uncle pointed out that it was meant to be since Bobby and I are Northwestern Wildcats. 😉

You can click on the thumbnails to enlarge the photos! They are from our wedding slideshow. We get the rest of our pictures back next week and I can’t WAIT to see them!

The last two of Bobby and me were taken during the perfect Arizona sunset. I love them!

While we were out taking pictures, our guests were slowly arriving at the reception area for the cocktail hour. You can read all about it in Melissa’s post. Thanks for an awesome recap, lovely!

And yet, there was still so much fun to be had…

…and tears to be shed. The toasts at our wedding were my #2 favorite (with #1 being getting married!) part of the day. Bobby’s brother and best man Jim, my bestie and maid of honor Sam, Papa Bender and my absolutely INCREDIBLE baby brother Eric stole the spotlight, all in unique and beautiful ways.

My hubby also prepared an amazingly sweet toast for me. 🙂 Once again, I don’t think I can do them and the rest of our reception justice without another post. I sincerely hope that you are enjoying these recaps as much as I enjoy writing them! Part three to come soon!

Food and cake pictures will also be included!!

Abrazos,
