Time + Tradition

Today was all about “time.” Tee time, that is. I was lucky enough to play golf with Mama Bender at 10:15 a.m., which also just happened to fit the criteria for #FebPhotoADay.

Even though I had a rocky start – I choose to blame it on lack of practice in Chicago – we had a great time, and the weather was perfect. Blue skies and sixty some degrees. I love Arizona in the winter.

Tonight we carried out a Friday tradition in our household.

Actually, wine is not the Friday tradition – though it should be. πŸ˜‰ Pizza, on the other hand, has been a tradition ever since I can remember.

Homemade pizza is relatively newer, but no less exciting and I would argue even more delicious.

We topped ours with tomato sauce, mushroom, red pepper, kalamata olives, spinach, pepperoni and plenty o’ cheese. If Mama Bender had it her way, there could never be enough cheese.

Hey, I’m not complaining. It was amazing. We’re “vegging” out for the rest of the night.

I’m also happy to announce the winner of the Chobani giveaway. Thanks to all who entered!

Random number generator designated comment #47 – Gina M. Maddox – as the lucky recipient.

Congrats, Gina! Send an email to eatingbender@gmail.com with your preferred mailing address and the team at Chobani will send you your yogurt goodies as soon as possible.

Tomorrow we are taking a bit of a “historic” adventure. I look forward to sharing more about it!

What are you up to this weekend?

Abrazos,

  1. What a delicious looking pizza! So far this weekend has centered around grocery shopping–just got back from Trader Joe’s and Kroger. We were supposed to do a few more errands this afternoon, but you-know-who somehow fell asleep on the couch!
