CFA

A couple of months ago, we celebrated the fact that Bobby successfully took his Level III CFA exam.

Yesterday, we celebrated the fact that he not only took the test, but was part of the 52% of test takers who PASSED! Needless to say, congratulations were in order. I couldn’t be prouder of him.

When I asked Bobby how he would like to celebrate, the answer was easy: homemade pizza. It’s both a celebratory and Friday night staple around here (because Friday night is usually a cause to celebrate anyway, right?), so off I went to pick up our supplies.

We ended up with a whole grain circular crust rather than the rectangular crust above. With any pizza, I start with a layer of sauce and a small sprinkling of cheese before adding the other ingredients. First up is the spinach and tomato, which are the two flattest veggies by comparison.

Then we add red pepper, mushrooms and chicken sausage, our protein of choice.

Top it all with some more mozzarella cheese – extra for Bobby – and you’re ready to bake.

We put our pizza in for 10 minutes at 400 degrees. As usual, it was delicious.

After we feasted, I brought out a treat to mark the special occasion.

We enjoyed a glass of bubbly while catching up on the Olympics. It was a relaxing evening, indeed.

Congrats again, Bobby! All those nights and weekends of studying have officially paid off.

    • Thanks, Laura! I’m thinking pizza + champagne needs to become more of a regular combination around here. πŸ˜‰

    • Haha – this really is a perfect excuse for me to whip out my Thesaurus. The possibilities are endless!

  1. Whoohoo!! Hive fives and fist bumps all around! Congrats to Bobby! That is super exciting and he has a lot to be proud of. And an extra hive five for that amazeballs pizza–looks absolutely delicious girl! P.S. I SO want one of those tree houses. Like yesterday πŸ˜‰

    • Thank you so much, Wendi! For the sweet words and the multiple high and hive fives. πŸ˜‰ And I am SO with you on the tree house!

  2. What a great way to celebrate sucess and food. The variety of pizzas looks so inviting. Are there other foods you can recommend to make celebrations like this more special?

    • Thank you! I would say with any celebration to just keep the person who is celebrating in mind. Bobby has a few favorite dishes he loves so I gave him some options and we made what he was craving the most!

Also, dessert is always good. πŸ™‚
