Looking Back

Overall, 2013 was really good to us.

We started the year settled into our new home, but had no idea just how much out-of-state adventure Bobby’s new job would bring us. We ended the year with a nice change of pace, however, and in 2014 are looking forward to exploring more of what’s right here in Arizona.

Back in January, I created a list of goals I hoped to accomplish, and I’m really happy with how most of them turned out. I read more books this year than in 2012, co-started a fantastic book club with Nicole, crossed the finish line at Ragnar del Sol and traveled across the ocean. And I would argue that I definitely cleaned house more than I cleaned our Chicago apartment – though I’d still categorize it as organized chaos most of the time.

I took my mom on a way overdue girl’s trip to San Fran and Napa. We also volunteered for several great organizations that gave us the chance to read to kids, help build a house and box up food.

There are some remaining goals on that 2013 list that are carrying over to this year, for sure. I’m currently compiling my thoughts, and in the meantime thought I’d share a few of my favorite posts from the past 365 days. No surprise, most of them involve travel!

  1. Wow, you sure had a productive 2013, Jenn! From Ragnar to a beautiful wedding celebration weekend to a Packers adventure, it sure was action-packed. I hope your 2014 is all you and Bobby dream of and more! xoxo

  2. You definitely had an amazing year!! You know I enjoy all of your posts, but my favorites include your family adventures. Specifically, I love your meals at your parents house and seeing you two with your nieces pieces. You’re such naturals! My goals for 2014 include: 1. spending lots of time with Josh and Kay, 2. Running a different race (either a different distance or setting (i.e. a trail race), and 3. continuing to donate blood time and money!

  3. You sure had a very wonderful 2013. I also love your favorite posts! Hope to see more of your experiences this new year. You travelled a lot last year, where is your most unforgettable trip?
