Bobby’s Chobani Taste Test {Video + Giveaway}

Before we get to the goods, I will allow you all the chance to peek inside our closet. Yes, I know. Try not to get too excited about this fantastic opportunity. 😉 It’s the subject of today’s #FebPhotoADay.

Space is at a premium, so we split it 50/50. As you can see, Bobby’s wardrobe is primarily comprised of shirts for work (his massive t-shirt collection is in the dresser), while I, on the other hand, struggle to color coordinate. It’s not ready for the cover of Real Simple, but it work for us, and that’s what matters.

Moving on to much more aesthetically pleasing subject matter…

I was recently contacted by the team at Chobani regarding their three newest flavors of Greek yogurt: 0% blood orange, 0% apple cinnamon and 2% passion fruit. As a long time fan, I eagerly said yes and couldn’t wait to try them all out. This morning, I did a taste test with all three. I’ve shared my thoughts below, but ultimately couldn’t resist getting Bobby’s opinion, too.

0% Blood Orange: This was the first new flavor variety I tried, and I have to say it wasn’t my favorite. The description on the website is accurate – it is a uniquely tart fruit! That said, keep in mind 1) I am not a huge fan of tart to begin with and 2) my experience with blood oranges is extremely limited. I’ve also never been someone who eats grapefruit, so it came as no surprise that this was a bit too tangy for me. If you are someone who loves citrus, though, I think this would definitely be the flavor for you.

0% Apple Cinnamon: I was a bit apprehensive about this one because I am not normally a huge apple cinnamon fan (in oatmeal, for example). But I was very pleasantly surprised by how good this tasted! There were real apples and cinnamon mixed into every bite, so it tasted more authentic than any other “flavored” product I’ve had in the past. If you’ve ever had scalloped apples, that is the best comparison I can give you. I would definitely consider purchasing this one on my own, and as you’ll see in the video, it was also Bobby’s favorite.

2% Passion Fruit: I may have been biased toward this one from the start, since the PR rep I worked with had confessed it was her favorite of the bunch. But she was absolutely spot on because passion fruit was fantastic. I had never tried the 2% yogurts before and really enjoyed the extra creaminess. I also thought it was awesome that there were real seeds mixed with every bite. This yogurt had a very tropical feel to it and by far the most pleasant after taste of all three. I would easily buy it again myself.

Now the moment we’ve all been waiting for…Bobby’s Chobani taste test! Check out his thoughts below:

Thank you, Bobby and Chobani!

  1. All these flavors sound aaaamazing (I have yet to eat a Chobani I haven’t enjoyed!) However, I am most curious about the passion fruit as I had my first passion fruit experience on my honeymoon in Hawaii, and I have been searching for passion fruit flavored things since. Not easy to find!

  2. One I love your comment that bobby looks like a highlighter – hilarious!! Two didn’t know he player soccer…so does Michael! And three definitely passion fruit. Sounds delicious and love the idea of extra creamy!

  3. You guys are too cute :). Dont enter me because I got the package too, but my favorite is the apple cinnamon-SO yummy. And I agree with Angela, I started laughing when you referred to Bobby as a highlighter

  4. I was lucky enough to find the new flavors at my local whole foods. I love the apple cinnamon & passion fruit.

  5. I’ve tried the apple cinnamon and blood orange and loved them both… I’m just apprehensive about the seeds in the passion fruit one. I’d say apple cinnamon would make my most happy though – it really tastes as close to pie as yogurt could get when you add granola :).

  6. I LOVE chobani, I eat it every morning for breakfast at work. The apple cinnamon flavor sounds like its right up my alley. I would be interested to try the Passionfruit too, i have never tried their 2% yogurt 🙂

  7. Since I’ve tried the apple cinnamon Chobani already (couldn’t resist buying it myself!) – I’d like to try the Blood Orange. I’ve never had a blood orange by itself nor have I ever had greek yogurt mixed with citrus so I’m intrigued =)

  8. The human highlighter knows his stuff 😉 I’m guessing I’d like the apple cinnamon especially if it tastes like apple cinnamon oatmeal.

  9. I’ve had the apple cinnamon and love it (not as good as my beloved Pineapple flavor though!) so for the purpose of your question, passion fruit is my choice. 🙂

  10. Chobani is my absolute favorite! I’ve already tried the apple cinnamon variety, and it was amazing! Now I’m dying to try the blood orange, which I’ve heard is just as great.

  11. Wow, thank you for such a generous giveaway! I love Chobani and while all three new flavors sound terrific, the Apple Cinnamon is the one I’m most excited to try!

  12. I am partially obsessed with almost everything apple cinnamon flavored and I can’t find this yogurt in any grocery stores around here! If I was really a smart consumer, I’d go request it! But here I am instead hopefully crossing my fingers for a giveaway along with other dedicated blogging yogurt fans! =)

(But don’t call me lazy! You try typing with fingers crossed! haha)

  13. I think I’d leave the apple alone and go for the more intriguing-sounding blood orange and passion fruit! I always love a little crunch in my yogurt, so I’m leaning more towards the passion…
