Coffee Cocoa

Coffee Cocoa

Coffee Cocoa is something I came up with through trial and error. Now that I’ve perfected it for my taste, I can’t get enough of it! I probably drink at least one every day – and sometimes more!

Ingredients (serves 1):

  • 1 cup coffee
  • 1 tbsp. organic vanilla creamer (I use Whole Foods brand)
  • 1/2 tbsp. hot chocolate powder
  • 1 tbsp. whipped cream

Directions:

After brewing the coffee, stir in 1 tbsp. soy creamer and 1/2 tbsp. hot chocolate powder. Add a dollop of whipped cream and, if you’re like me, an extra sprinkle of hot chocolate powder on top for that extra bit of decadence that can’t be beat 😉 You can play around with the creamer and hot chocolate to get a stronger or weaker “cocoa” taste. Enjoy!

  1. Hey… Silk makes a nondairy creamer with no HFCS or hydrogenated oil… I know they have a french vanilla version but not everyone carries more than the original flavor.

Sounds so yummy though coffee and cocoa, mmmm

  2. mmm, this sounds so yummy. I think that I’ll have to bring a coffee maker to college just for this 🙂

  3. I make my own little creation like that but instead of hot choc powder, I just use real cocoa powder. And in place of the vanilla creamer, I use vanilla stevia drops. In fact, as I type this, I just polished one off. Sans whip cream but I love the choc, coffee, and ‘nilla flavors too!

    • see.. you went and beat me to the punch.. i was going to recommend this exact thing as a low carb alternative… BUT… i dont skip the whip LOL. Instead, i add an insane amount of real heavy cream to the original mixture, the aforementioned stevia, cocoa powder (as in, like you said, real, unsweetened cocoa powder) and then top it all off with slightly sweetened (again, with stevia) real whipped cream… to die for. AND it can be served hot or cold! For an extra “hit” in the hot version only, I add a tablespoon of coconut oil and blend the whole thing up… YUM.

      • wow this is an old post LOLOL. Ah well, no time machine like the internet! (talk about beating to the punch, 5 YEARS beaten lol.)
