My Portion

When push comes to shove, I’ve always loved writing. So it may come as no surprise that I’ve been wanting to write longer, more meaningful posts for quite some time now. Without further ado, I want to introduce you to the long form segment of eating bender, called My Portion. The links below are to some of my favorite posts, as well as interviews and videos I’ve done with health influencers and professionals that I am most proud of.

Disclaimer: You don’t have to agree with what I write about. In fact, feel free to disagree with me. The point of this segment is to express one girl’s opinion on topics that I feel are relevant and important. Thanks!

Hi Jenn! You sound a lot like me. I have an undergrad in journalism and am returning to school for an RD degree so that I can write my heart out about nutrition. I have a love of eating and cooking fresh, whole, unprocessed food and believe that eating that way is truly the best. Great blog! I’m working on mine too and it’s such a great outlet for me.

Keep it up. I look forward to reading more!

lindsey ~ Hi there! Glad to see another journalist in the blog world :) It’s wonderful that you are returning to school to become an RD – good luck! Let me know what your blog URL is so I can check it out!

What was your major at Northwestern? Just curious if it was english or writing–I doubled in English and Marketing at William and Mary when I graduated in May, and while I work in marketing, I feel you on the still liking to write

I was actually a journalism major — broadcast, to be exact :) Love, love writing!

I am so hungry whenever I look at your site. I was just getting ready to share it with the principal at Bobby’s school.

Great blog! My last post concerned healthy habits and how being ‘one’ in mind and body translates to being ‘one’ with your writing (I write fantasy fiction). I’d love to hear your thoughts on the subject! Come see me at

Thanks! Have a great one 😛
